My Lineage

My history of body work began with Shiatsu. I was a Shiatsu Practitioner, and thought that it was the best alternative massage therapy that I ever gave or experienced. I had many clients and they too thought that Shiatsu was wonderful. A friend of mine went to Northern India and learned a little Thai Massage and what she could remember she did on me and I couldn't believe it, it was amazing! I realized that perhaps my calling did not lay in Shiatsu, but in Thai Yoga Massage. At that point I knew that I had to learn it.

The Sun Shine Network
in Thailand was my beginnings of learning Thai Massage. Being taught by Asokananda and his senior teachers was a honor and a privilege. That was where I truly fell in love with this form of body work. It was unlike anything that I had ever experienced and learning this I knew that there was no turning back.

Sadly Asokananda died on Friday, 24 June 2005.He was deeply respected for his spiritual life, studies and teachings. We know his light will stay with us forever - through each massage we give, every student we teach, we will always be thankful for what he allowed us to discover and share.

While still in Thailand I also studied with Pichest Boonthumme

I began my studies of Thai Massage in Thailand, and then at Open Secrets in Chicago for three years.

During my many travels I discovered Lotus Palm in Montreal and after study with them I became a teacher and practitioner for them.

I have also studied with Saul David Raye and his Senior Teacher William Hufschmidt in California.

I have also studied Advanced Thai Massage with Kristin Nuttall in Whistler.

This year I am studying with Pierce Salguero at the Thai Institute of Healing Arts in Washington D.C. Cause you can never know or learn enough Thai Massage.

Everytime I learn something new in Thai Massage, I am reminded of how how powerful the healing energy is and how much I love it.
